ALBANY – A Schenectady man produced and received child pornography, a new federal indictment alleges.
Shaun Morant, 27, of Schenectady was indicted Tuesday on the charges, federal prosecutors said.
Morant is accused of producing and receiving child pornography involving a 10-year-old girl in January 2022 and receiving child pornography involving a 10-year-old boy between January 2020 and April 2022, prosecutors said.
Morant faces up to 30 years in prison on the first count, if convicted, and up to 20 years if convicted on the second count, prosecutors said.
The FBI is investigating the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rick Belliss is prosecuting.
