ALBANY — Jack Pucci had four goals, and the UAlbany men’s lacrosse team never trailed as it picked up its first victory of the season, defeating Drexel 11-7 in a non-conference game Saturday at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.

The Great Danes (1-2) jumped out to a 3-0 first quarter lead on goals by Thomas Decker, Graydon Hogg and Amos Whitcomb.

Pucci scored his first goal during a man-up situation with 10:24 left in the second quarter. Pucci scored early in the third quarter, and then got two more goals in the fourth quarter.

Hogg and Silas Richmond each had two goals for the Great Danes.

UAlbany hosts UMass at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
