GLENVILLE – Glenville Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who robbed the Freemans Bridge Road Speedway Thursday morning.

No one was hurt.

The incident happened just before 10 a.m. at the Speedway at 123 Freemans Bridge Road, police said.

Dispatchers got a 911 call then for a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect handed an employee a note and implied that he had a weapon in his pocket, police said.

The man then was able to obtain a “significant amount” of cash, police said.

The suspect is described as 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He wore a blue hoodie sweatshirt, black and white sneakers and a black baseball hat with a white logo, police said. He also wore what appeared to be an N-95 mask. Police also released surveillance images of the suspect.

The man left the Speedway and ran across Dutch Meadows Lane, where he got into a dark sedan and drove west, police said. It also appeared he placed a paper bag over his license plate.
