Groups working to end pay inequality

Equal Pay Day, March 14, symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year.
The National Committee on Pay Equity initiated the day in 1996 to illustrate the gap between men’s and women’s wages.
For almost two decades, the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties (JLSS) and the New York State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior Leagues (NYSPAC) has worked to increase awareness of this issue and move it closer to Jan. 1.
Progress in closing the pay gap has slowed significantly, despite more women attending college — and pay for Black and Hispanic women lags even further behind, according to a recent Pew Research Center report.
Women made 65 cents for every dollar earned by men in 1982 and 80 cents on the dollar compared to men in 2002.
That increased just 2 cents over the next 20 years, to 82 cents in 2022.
The report blamed some of the plateau on economic forces, including the Great Recession — from which women’s employment was slower to recover — and the pandemic’s disproportionate impact on jobs held by women.
JLSS and NYSPAC have been working to address this issue by advocating for state legislation, including the Salary History Ban, which prohibits employers from requesting a job candidate’s prior salary when determining an offer of employment.
For over 90 years, the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties has worked to improve the lives of women and children, including ensuring their financial security.

Proctors’ prices are hurting supporters

Until recently, one Heineken plus one 6-ounce glass of red wine mix was about $14 at Proctors.
At a recent matinee, exactly the same pair cost $20.52: $9 for beer and $10 and for bottom shelf, opened bottle, red wine mix.
These prices exceed costs at airports, on airplanes, at all local bars and pubs, and might be somewhat comparable at a few local higher-end restaurants where the selections are from considerably more reputable alcohol shelves.
I love Proctors and have been a joint series subscriber for several seasons. Proctors has contributed to Schenectady’s rebirth.
But the plain truth is that Phillip Morse and Proctors are hurting the very people who’ve helped them to be successful.

Polly typical liberal talking points. Let me tell you what this administration and you Democrats are doing. Trump said why is Russia our enemy, they are in the NATO alliance let’s make them our friend. And instead the Democrats who most of them are owned by Chinese or have a Chinese spy in their bedroom or in their office or driving their cars say that Trump is a Russian asset. So what happens now? What happens now is this administration and Democrats short sightedness put one of the largest energy producers in the world with gas and oil and pushes them into the arms of one of the countries with the largest population and largest manufacturing assets in the world. Together China and Russia Will be so strong that even with our posturing, there’s no way that we could defeat them. See the problem with Joe Biden, and most of the Democrats and Republicans in office is that they are embedded m, they owe too many favors they owe their donors and nothing gets done. Donald Trump was an outsider , that’s why he got things done. Try refuting my statement with out the Insults. Plain arguments. I know the lefties can’t do

My problem is that Maines is NOT a woman, take her blood and the chromosomes will be XY.
Joan Rivers was a very successful comedian and there are hundreds of stories about Barack being gay and Michelle being Michael. I will wait for that picture of a pregnant Michelle Obama that is not photoshopped. Also for as much time as they spend at the beach, there is not a single picture of her with a bathing suit bottom, just shorts.

“Okay if the women gets an abortion then she obviously does not want children why just sterilize her so she can have all the unprotected sex with as many partners as she wants and never have to worry about abortions? No different than suggesting men getting a vasectomy. You are correct men cannot get an abortion, yet a women would not need one is it weren’t for a man men getting a vasectomy

The lines of these babies are on the hands of those who endorse this murder.

Abortions worldwide this year:
Sources and methods:
Definition: An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. An abortion can occur spontaneously due to complications during pregnancy or can be induced.

Abortion as a term most commonly – and in the statistics presented here – refers to the induced abortion of a human pregnancy, while spontaneous abortions are usually termed miscarriages.

“This year” refers to the period from Jan 1 at 00:00 up to now.

The data on abortions displayed on the Worldometer’s counter is based on the latest estimates on worldwide abortions published by various sources, including the World Health Organization (WHO). According to WHO, every year in the world there are around 73 million induced abortions. This corresponds to approximately 200,000 abortions per day.

In the USA, where nearly 30% of pregnancies are unintended and 40% of these are terminated by abortion, there are between 1,500 to 2,500 abortions per day. Nearly 20% of all pregnancies in the USA (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion. Guttmacher Institute reports 930,160 abortions performed in 2020 in the United States, with a rate of 14.4 per 1,000 women. CDC reports 629,898 abortions in 2019, with a rate of 11.4 abortions per 1,000 women (excludes CA, MD, NH).

Dear Saratoga,
This is the culture you created with socialist ideology you pushed on the children. Now they rise up against you. You put people like Joe Seaman in the spotlight and then scratch your heads when they cause chaos in your city. I stopped going to Saratoga many years ago because of this culture.

TIC Biden and his Inflation Reduction Act was nothing but anESG shell game. TIC Biden knew he would never be able to implement overreaching green energy agenda. So in a multi-thousands of pages they hide it in the Inflation Reduction Act. They gave power to implement to multiple agencies within the TIC’s administration. They are going to push us into third world status by removing our energy supply before the green energy can produce the energy we need as a country. We are going to be experiencing rolling black outs that California and Texas enjoy now. Imagine loosing power in the middle of the winter because our government pushed the green energy out before it can produce the needed energy.
Traitor In Chief Biden is the just a puppet for the Globalist Soros backed agenda. Soros wants the destruction of America and has paid off the corrupt politicians to do with a promise of a seat at the world government table run by China.

Another reason to stop ESG:

Discover is moving forward with tracking and reporting customers purchases. Meanwhile Visa and Mastercard decided that they would loose to much business from people dumping their cards.
“This is a clear victory for consumers and Americans’ civil liberties. The implementation of this now merchant category code would have created a backdoor national gun registry that could be used by the radical gun control lobby to undermine Americans’ Second Amendment rights.
Riley Moore,
West Virginia State Treasurer
Visa and Mastercard dropped their plans to track firearm and ammunition purchases because of my legislation.
When conservatives fight, we win.

America wake up and look at the nefarious intentions of the ESG policies.

What does these two countries have in common? Mandatory vaccinations Covid vaccine and boosters.

It is always the cover up that will get you caught. a video showing a man with a walkie talkie and ear piece.

On Jan. 6th, a masked man wearing an earpiece and walkie-talkie was caught on video removing a glass window from the capitol.
When he realized he was being recorded, he pushed another man and blamed him. He has not been added to the FBI’s most wanted list, arrested, or charged.

The truth of releasing the videos will show America what really happened.

Katelyn Galbraith, how can women get equal pay when they don’t even have control of their own bodies. I think the first step women should take is stop voting republican. Republicans are anti-union, anti Pro-choice , anti-gay rights. It goes beyond equal pay.

How can women get equal pay and rights when men can simply say I am a women even though biological they are a man.
Maybe the woke agenda should stop trying to cancel women

Parents had best keep a constant eye on children whenever they are near a pastor. Do not leave them alone with the clergy:

Jacksonville’s CBS affiliate reports: 3/9

“A former Jacksonville minister was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday. In March of 2020 Michael Linkenauger was arrested and charged for sexual battery and lewd or lascivious acts. A judge heard from the now 17-year-old victim who asked the judge to hand down the maximum penalty. “My world has been turned upside down by Mr. Linkenauger’s actions,” he said, adding the man was a father figure to him. “I don’t believe he will change.”

Linkenauger was known in the community not only because of his work as a real estate agent, but he founded a faith-based ministry called Hot Dogs for Hope, which provides food and laundry for the homeless population of Jacksonville. He was also involved with other local organizations and churches.

When confronted by the boy’s mother, Linkenauger apologized and said he had fantasies about being with boys, according to the police report, adding that the mother should believe everything her son told her about the abuse. According to detectives, he also told the boy’s mother he had done worse things to others.

Linkenauger’s wife, with whom he has two children, told police that her husband had been living a “double life.” The video below is from 2020 and the bruises on his face are from having resisted arrest.

He founded “Hot Dogs for Hope” to help feed the hungry. Was that a Freudian slip? Men like this are very good at creating a front to portray themselves as loving, caring Christians, while working on gratifying themselves behind the scenes.

I am in total accord with the Christianity preached by the late MLK and Reverend William Barber who has devoted his life to helping the poor. But the Hagee’s, Linkenauger, and televangelists like the following (net worth is provided) are obvious bottom feeders who are not doing what Jesus wants:

Kenneth Copeland – $300 million.
Pat Robertson – $100 million.
Joel Osteen – $100 million.
Benny Hinn – $60 million.
Steven Furtick Jr. – $55 million.
Creflo Dollar – $27 million.
Rick Warren – $25 million.
Jesse Duplantis – $20 million.

This is the only religion you need ….Good Thoughts……Good Words …….Good Deeds…..and it doesn’t cost a thing. ….Start taxing the religions. We would erase our deficit in no time.

christophe Stalka

Mr varoma and santo perhaps if we get our heads out of our collective a$$es with all this conspiracy nonsense and the lying things would improve. Just my opinion but people spending their time screaming about George soros Jewish space lasers and other nonsense doesn’t help. For example we still see no action on the border but we have resources going to investigate the tourists attacked on Jan6th

Compromised TIC Biden cannot stop China from invading Taiwan. Top generals send out the message and warning.
Traitor In Chief Biden is compromised and ineffective commander.
God help us

Guy Varoma

Mr. Brandon 🤡 yes, God help us…..From the stupidity from people like you. And your “The sky is falling” nonsense ……seek help

Guy, I fully agree, we should tax Churches. They benefit from the same government services, municipal, state, and federal that we all do. Giving them tax-free status is not separation of Church and state, it is “respecting establishments of religion.” It is state subsidization of religion and the money for this is taken from non-religious as well as religious people. They make enormous amounts of money and any charitable contributions they make could be written off taxable income to the legal limit allowed for all taxpayers. It certainly would reduce the deficit dramatically. And, Why not?

Christophe, we do need to have an accepted factual base agreed upon by all Americans if democracy is to function properly. The Kelly Ann Conway idea of “alternate facts”, Qanon, Alex Jones, and Bannon style conspiracy nonsense, and Propaganda outlets that knowingly lie to improve ratings endanger democratic institutions and must end.

Bill Marincic

Katelyn Galbraith, equal pay has to exist or else why would all of these men pretend to be women? Mohonason High School keeps showing transgender women as women of the month. International woman of the year was a transgender that was awarded by none other than Dr. Jill Biden, I know she is not a medical doctor but you would think she would know what a woman is. I remember Virginia Slims cigarette commercials from the 60s, “You’ve come a long way baby” was their catchphrase. Now it would be “Get out of the way, let a man show you how it’s done”. Women are being canceled in sports and any other thing they were known for. You have to ask yourself why they are pushing this on us and our children when only .0045% of the population is transgender according to the NIH.

Bill Marincic

Anthony J. Santo When it comes to churches they are not all huge Catholic churches, go to any town and most are storefront or small churches that if they had to pay tax would have to close down.

Dammit marincic! It’s those goddamn civil rights again! That’s not what your god intended at all, is it?

It’s men over here, and women get the rest over there, and that’s it.
Am i right? That’s how Jesus says it should be.

christophe Stalka

Mr Santo I agree but like Mr Varoma I think a lot of work is ahead of us as some prefer to focus on the non problem transgender women is creating for them. I guess the penis patrol is the best use of that type of liars time it spare the rest of us his insufferable babble

See that’s where you are wrong, it’s the Democrats that are trying to cancel women. It’s the men pretending to be women taking their scholarships and their records in sports. You are the women haters, according to you men can be a woman better than a woman.

Joseph Vendetti

Take a look at the WSJ today and what they think of the President Budget Proposal that couldn’t pass congress last year when he had the majority. No way he will get a $4.7 trillion tax increase that goes all the way into small business tax increases, families making less then $400,000 ($250,000 thresholds). His claims that the deficit will be reduced by $3 trillion over next 10 years is refuted by the bean counters in Washington.

Bill Marincic

Stalka, your infatuation with a penis is really getting out of control. Remember what Brandon says, if they are accusing you then it is what they are doing and trying to cover up. Go get it, Chris/Bob, nobody will judge you.

christophe Stalka

Big bm Zach you have been. CRowned Queen of the penis patrol

I’m still waiting for that picture of a pregnant, Michelle Obama. Every woman since the age of fauxtography who is pregnant and could afford it has a picture of her pregnant. Prove me wrong, prove me a whack job. Come on here’s your opportunity I will acquiesce

Come on pervert share that line of bs again it does wonders for you and
Your lack of credibility

Guy Varoma

Mr. Bill 🤡…..Can you step out of yours shoes and read what you write before hitting enter? Maybe something will click and you will say to yourself “That sounds moronic I shouldn’t write things like that because it proves I’m stupid”……May you find a sliver of intelligence one day.

BM, who are you kidding? You showed your tendency to accept off the wall idiotic “stories” about Michelle Obama having a penis. When rational posters called that claim out as obviously fake, you turned the tables, once again demanding proof she was not born a man and does not have a penis. I think you finally understand it is your job to prove what you post. We assume (know) you are wrong and will not play your foolish game. It is difficult to prove negatives. You can’t prove there is a god so you say we must prove there isn’t. Shifting the burden to those denying your proposition shows how weak your views are.

Guy Varoma

Joseph Vendetti ….You must know by now that when negotiating any kind of budget between 2 parties you always ask for more that you want….Budgets rarely pass “as is” for either party. …Don’t fret yet.

You gotta get over to the Nisky library right away! And call your churches!

The extreme left wing AOC socialistical notsee commie extreme libs are over there, and they’re teaching the children how to trap leprechauns!

For the love of the Republican Party, and President Donald J. Trump, and Tucker Carlson, someone needs to put an end to this blaspheme!!#!)%%* Those terrible LGBT groomer librarians need to be held accountable for this!

Think of the children!

christophe Stalka

Mr varoma I’m not a CFO but if you know of a budget that passes without negotiation please let me know at least Biden lit a fire under my Kevins butt to do something

Hi Joe. So what have the Republicans countered with. That’s how deals are made, you know?
So what’s Our Kev saying?
Oh right. nothing.
Isn’t that the big story?

Guy Varoma

The republicans only find fiscal responsibility when democrats are in charge. It reminds me of the Movie Casablanca when Captain Renault says: I’m shocked! Shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! as he is handed a pile of money for his take.

Joe you can cure stupid and stupid people will always be stupid. They use CNN and Rolling Stones as their propaganda machine source. Believe that George Soros is a good guy. Funny if I recall he was denied his heritage to hide from the Nazis. After going through that he grew up and crashed the Weimar Republic. Yeah pillar of the community

Another Biden economic failure. 200 billion dollar mess Silicon Valley bank defaults . This will affect all of us and could be a slippery slope to financial collapse of our banking systems

F___youBiden, clearly your a person in need of attention and I don’t want to help you in that way, but I do want to point out that the MAGA rightwingers, like you, have established that they are the major criminal element in American society now, and no amount of your garden hose of half-baked, alleged left wing atrocities can cover up the growing library of guilty pleas, convictions, plea deals, detentions and incarcerations MAGA are racking up.
So go on spewing whatever it is you’re hearing down at the hair salon, we’ll probably see you in court like all the rest.

Joe, I don’t know what the Republican budget proposals are. They have been asked to present their budget to no avail. How do you negotiate with a party that says they want no tax increases, insists on a balanced budget, but won’t specify the cuts they favor to balance the budget?

LGB’s comment sounds more like a failure on the part of Silicon Valley banks than Joe Biden. LGB, aren’t you in favor of free enterprise, little to no government economic intervention? On what basis do you blame the president for Silicon valley bank defaults? This is not a command economy.

If you are really curious about this bank failure Forbes explains why it happened:

SVB — which takes deposits and makes loans to startups and venture capital firms — had lost 87% of its stock market value between March 8 and March 10 (in premarket trade).

While the stock closed down 60% on March 9, the stock continued to plunge another 65% in premarket trade before trade in the shares was halted, according to the Wall Street Journal. Following that, CNBC reported that SVB failed in its attempts to raise capital, and “has hired advisors to explore a potential sale.”

Why are investors selling SVB shares?
They fear that the bank lacks sufficient capital to handle its obligations, according to the New York Times.

Why do investors fear SVB lacks sufficient capital?
It announced March 8 that it had taken a $1.8 billion loss from selling assets — $21 billion of relatively liquid low-yielding treasury securities, according to the Wall Street Journal. SVB also “borrowed $15 billion; and organized an emergency sale of its stock to raise cash,” noted the Times

What prompted SVB to raise capital at such a high cost?
SVB told investors that it made the move “because we expect continued higher interest rates, pressured public and private markets, and elevated cash-burn levels from our clients as they invest in their businesses.” Analysts at Wedbush wrote that SVB suffered “continued material outflows of client funds, both on- and off-balance sheet,” according to CNBC. SVB is heavily dependent on deposits which at the end of 2022 accounted for 89% of its liabilities, compared to 69% for Bank of AmericaBAC -1%, reported the Wall Street Journal.

Why are clients moving their deposits out of SVB?
Some venture capital firms — for example, Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, according to Reuters — have encouraged their portfolio companies to move their money out of SVB due to concerns about its financial stability. The Times reported that SVB, like many banks, lacked sufficient funds to fulfill a surge in requests for customers to withdraw their money.

What sparked fears for SVB’s financial stability?
Its customer base consists of cash burning startups and venture capital firms that are unable to profit due, in part, to the near shut-down of the IPO market. Pitchbook reported that venture capital deal activity fell over 30% in 2022 to $238 billion. According to CNBC, “the dearth of initial public offerings and continuing drawdown in valuations among once highfliers suggests that there’s much more pain to come in 2023.”

What’s Next For SVB
Analysts are gloomier on the prospects for SVB than they are for the banking industry in general.

“We remain on the sidelines with regard to SIVB and want to stress that we see it as an outlier in the industry. Other banks have underwater bond portfolios as well, but they generally have lots of retail deposits, which are much less rate-sensitive than SIVB’s deposits,” Oppenheimer analyst Chris Kotowski wrote in a note, according to SeekingAlpha.

Nevertheless, Kotowski expects SVB to survive. “While we view these actions combined with a weaker guide as a clear negative, we do not believe that SIVB is in a liquidity crisis, especially following the significant proceeds received from the AFS sales, capital raise, and low loan-to-deposit ratio in the mid-40s,” he wrote.

However, given the announcement that SVB is up for sale, it looks like Kotowski may be overly optimistic.

Moody’s downgraded the bank’s bonds rating and slashed its outlook to negative, from stable. “Moody’s does not expect the environment will recover enough for SVB to materially improve its profitability, funding and liquidity,” according to the New York Times.

Standard & Poor’s credit analysts downgraded SVB’s debt securities. In a note downgrading SVB to one notch above junk, it wrote, “[Our downgrade is due] in part [to] its concentration in investor-funded technology company deposits — [which might decline further] — and the slowdown in public and private investments over the past year,” according to CNBC.

What Should You Do?
If you have less than $250,000 deposited in the bank, the FDIC will cover you should the bank become insolvent.

If I had money in SVB, I would certainly move it out. Although that could be difficult to do. The New York Times reported that “Sunny Juneja, founder of Canopy Analytics, a Bay Area start-up focused on real estate technology” tried to move his startup’s “few million dollars” out of SVB but could not do so March 9 because its “online portal was down.”

Banks are paying extremely low deposit rates which prompted me to move money out of Bank of America. As I wrote last month, I moved funds into a money market fund that was yielding 4.2% and out of a savings account at Bank of America yielding 0.3%.

Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that “Bank of America paid an average rate of 0.96% on deposits in the fourth quarter, compared with 1.17% for the industry. SVB paid 2.33%.”

This suggests that SVB is more worried about losing deposits than the industry. However, given the huge opportunity that depositors are giving up by not putting their cash in a money market fund, I think more people should follow my lead.

I hope analysts are right in expecting SVB’s problems not to spread throughout the banking industry.

NOTE, no responsibilty has been assigned to Joe Biden.

christophe Stalka

Mr Santo I have a feeling the hysterical dramatic posturing which seems to have become a characteristic common among these people will fade to black when it’s time for the budget negotiations to begin by then the screaming from the likes of brandies will be recognized as nothing but the fake outrage we all know it is

Venture capital for startups in green energy projects 56 billion almost 25% of their portfolio. ESG standards and investments are proof it’s a no win situation for investment because they shut down viable energy sources and companies for green energy companies that fail. Solendra comes to mind.

Do far right Trump lovers really believe the issue of transgender women deserves all the attention they give it? Could it be a ploy by the far right to play up cultural issues to get their minds off the important issues that actually impact their day to day lives? That is what they have done with their book banning, course-content limits, and outrage over drag queens reading to children. Oh, the horror of it all, while the far right cognoscenti work on cutting social security, medicare, the A.C.A. and child tax credits so bigger tax cuts for the very wealthy can be implemented

christophe Stalka

Big Bm /zach I believe called you a pervert. Your own babbling posts prove that better than I ever could shall we continue because I don’t waste my time onthe likes of you?

You are a waste and a liar oh and a pervert.

Don’t wait around for any “proof” from me you’re all the “proof” anyone here needs

christophe Stalka

Mr Santo I believe the issue of transgender people is a tool these tools use to scare people. I think we can all agree many elderly and the public in general have no understanding or interest in the topic and have never encountered a Trans person then throw in a loud mouth pervert like like Bill marincic spreading his lies and and his special poison soup is made.

Bill Marincic

What’s the matter Stalka, your new love doll didn’t come in the mail or did someone put hot sauce in the vaseline?

Lucky you I have had setbacks on a few of my deferred compensation investments through NYS and it is in the safest place they have. Bidens ESG inflation reduction act is going to bankrupt the pensions

Bill Marincic

My broker says Fidelity won’t invest in ESGs but if they do he will make sure I’m not. The shame is that I’m still down almost 50K since Brandon took office, it’s tough to get back that money plus the compound a year or so before you retire.

christophe Stalka

Big bm / zach I feel sorry for an old dude whose such a financial failure/disaster no wonder your so jealous of Mr Santos pension. If you do go to TN I’m sure you can get a nice shack with no plumbing for a bargain. If not maybe your Trans sister will let you be her pool boy.

christophe Stalka

big BM /zach i usually find blowhards that brag about their finances on a newspaper bulletin board are lucky to have a roll of scott towels to clean off their special dolly

id suggest a second job to cover your losses

but you keep up the brave face pervert

Guy Varoma

Mr. Bill 🤡 bragging about how much money you have is a child’s game. Trump does the same thing. You both deserve each other. Like Trump usually they don’t have the money they brag about. You should give all your money to Trump to invest it for you. If you think he is the guru he say he is he will make you a gazillionaire. Ask the people who invested in hi casinos

Bill Marincic, I also invest with Fidelity and they explained ESG investing is done as the best way to increase your portfolio.
They did say if I objected they would re arrange my investments to avoid ESG.

From Black Rock Investments”There’s been a notable shift in sentiment toward ESG integration amongst hedge fund managers and investors. Out of more than 300 hedge funds and institutional investors surveyed by J.P. Morgan Advisory Group, more than half considered ESG to be a source of alpha in December 2020 vs. just 23% in May 2019. Over the same time period, hedge funds with firm wide ESG policies nearly doubled to 57%, with 22% of managers surveyed either having launched or planning to launch a thematic ESG fund.
Maybe that’s why your down $50 k. For me I go with the professionals that I pay fees to for there guidance. But that’s just me.

Thanks for that FL.
As it happens, I just rolled over a couple 401ks to a Fidelity IRA, and not being a tuned in investor, hadn’t considered that.
I’m revisiting that this weekend. It just makes sense.

Great opener tonight on Chris Hayes covering all the idiot GOOPers who over the years worked to bully and insult and try to legislate against the Gay community, and were then found out to be quite Gay themselves. They took a “wide stance” and they got “Schlapped”!

The wrong-wingers continue their legacy of utter hypocrisy, well-documented, condemning that they are guilty of.

This latest that the minion are intoning, that liberals hate women and want to “cancel” them, as read right here, is yet more of their sad cartoon series.

And really, marincic, F___youBiden, the still-AWOL flynn, you really present here as sorry-a??ed cartoon characters. Cartoon christians, cartoon manly-men. You all doth protest way too much.

Bill Marincic

“Stalka I probably have more in my checking account than you make in a year.”

And you are worried because your investments only went up .56%? The economy is cyclical; there are so many factors influencing the performance of the stock market that blaming the president just shows how ignorant you are. Interest rate hikes to bring down the rate of inflation are likely the major factor behind the drop in bond and stock prices. Smart investors don’t bellyache; they see risk as an inherent part of investment and hang in there. The really smart ones see down markets as buy opportunities. They keep enough cash on hand to ride out a bear market. As smart as you are, you should use that money to buy equities and bonds or index funds, etfs, and mutual funds while navs are low.

Your ignorance, ego and false pride are demonstrated by the assumption that a smart guy like you has far more money than another poster. Do you know what Christophe makes? Is this what Jesus would want you to brag about, how much more money than others you have? tsk tsk tsk….
