Stefanik a voice for concerned parents
To hear our congresswoman advocate for parents was a long time in the making.
The absurdities that covid revealed lit a fire in the belly of many parents only to be snuffed out with threats of domestic terrorism.
Anyone with some semblance understood this accusation was not only maniacal, but it was also erroneous.
Unfortunately, many parents were going up against the same institutions that had indoctrinated a superior sense of authority over their children.
The shortage of hope caused many people to fall in line as they were sold an alternative narrative that this was not happening.
Rep. Elise Stefanik has been paying attention and vowed to hold the government accountable in regard to their equating concerned parents on the same level of domestic terrorists.
She recently called out the corrupt FBI and its intention to use federal enforcement tools to not only target, but prosecute, parents for simply being invested in the well-being of their child.
Exposing the Biden administration as the driving factors of this manufactured crisis was paramount. For far too long it had gone unchecked.
I would like to commend Congresswoman Stefanik for bringing this to light, as there has been an immense focus on Twitter lately and she did not allow this issue to become clouded.
Prospective is back in Congress, drive is back in Congress, transparency is back in Congress.
It is not surprising that it is spearheaded by a mom who speaks truth for so many Americans.

Students chose to take on loan debt
I hope the Supreme Court rules against this student loan forgiveness program.
I went to SUNY Albany, a college that I could afford, and worked the whole time as well so I could graduate debt free.
I could have gone to one of my more expensive dream schools, but I opted to live within my means.
Now the government wants to use my tax money, so I can pay for others who chose to live beyond their means.
I could agree to a program that mitigates the exorbitant interest rates and fees that were piled on.
But if someone chose to take on that debt, it is their debt, not mine.

The problem now, Bruce, is that college is exceedingly unaffordable for many. When I graduated University at Albany in 2001, my yearly in-state tuition was $3,400. Tuition today is over $10k. Not sure how much it was when you went there, but we can’t tell young kids they need to go to college to be successful, make it ridiculously expensive to get a degree, but then offer them 10’s of thousands in loans in the hopes they’ll earn enough from the degree to pay it back.

I agree with Mr. Levy’s point that the least we could do for overburdened students so heavily in debt that they can see no way to begin their lives is to eliminate all fees and interest due. Divide the principal due per month into a reasonable time frame, depending on the balance, until the principal amount is paid back. A student who borrowed $25,000, given ten years to pay it back with no interest, would only have to pay $208 a month (208 x 120= 24,960). I see this as a reasonable compromise and a win for all involved.
In the long run I believe State Universities should operate tuition free or at a nominal tuition of $500 to $l000 a semester. Post high school education in business, computer science, and the trades should be established under the same system. Of course private institutions would also continue as an option. As a member of the tax paying public I would be overjoyed to see my taxes going for the developing of human resources. Educated people contribute to the general well-being of society as well as economic growth. I believe we would see a reduction in crime and a better functioning democracy.
I must acknowledge a certain bias; I led a great life, largely because a college education at SUNYA was provided to me tuition free. An education I would never have been able to afford.
I think they should add a year to high school a 13 grade that teaches college courses. I also think they stress college way to much. The tell kids you “must” go to college. A lot of them end up jobless and in debt. Many end up at jobs that they don’t college degrees for. More trade school is needed also. Most high schools have done away with their shop classes, which I think is a mistake….In the center states there is a shortage of truck and machine operators. Those jobs start at $50,000 a year. A better starting pay than teachers.

TikTok, the wildly popular Chinese-owned social media app, has hired top Biden-connected consulting firm SKDK as it faces increasing scrutiny in Washington, according to two people, including one with direct knowledge of the hire.
The public affairs and political consulting firm is providing communications support to the company, which has come under government scrutiny, with senators recently introducing a bipartisan bill empowering Biden to restrict or potentially ban the service.The hiring came in the last few months, according to the person with direct knowledge of the hire. A spokesperson for SKDK declined to comment while a spokesperson for TikTok who also declined to comment.
The fire TikTok has faced in D.C. has been building for a number of years after the Trump administration tried to ban the app. It has continued with the Biden administration’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. conducting a national security review of TikTok.
SKDK is seen as the most well-connected Democratic firm in Washington with former top employees in senior and mid-level roles in the Biden administration. Anita Dunn, a founding partner, returned to the White House last May where she is senior adviser after a stint in the early part of the Biden administration and work on the 2020 campaign. Other former SKDK employees in the Biden administration include deputy White House communications directors Kate Berner and Herbie Ziskend, deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh and Interior Department press secretary Tyler Cherry.
While it has thrived in the Biden era, SKDK has also faced additional scrutiny for its clients. It parted ways with Starbucks last year as the coffee company tried to fend off a union organizing effort. As of 2021, the firm worked for Amazon as well but it’s unclear whether the two companies still have a relationship.
Last year, Dunn said in financial disclosure documents that she had advised a number of blue-chip American companies in the previous two years who have business before the government, including AT&T, Lyft, Pfizer and Salesforce. The firm, which is owned by the Stagwell Group, has long emphasized that it doesn’t lobby the federal government or represent companies on issues before the government.
The bill introduced by a bipartisan group of senators that could affect TikTok is supported by the White House. It would give the federal government new powers to restrict, and potentially ban, technologies from China and other nations designated as U.S. adversaries, although such an action would face howls from advocates of free speech. TikTok is seen as one of the technologies that is helping prompt that action from Congress given the worries that the Chinese government could one day use data from its millions of American users.
To try to mitigate federal government action against TikTok, the app’s Chinese owner ByteDance has spent more than $13 million on lobbying since 2019 and has hired several dozen lobbyists, including former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.) and John Breaux Sr. (R-La.), who work for Crossroads Strategies, as well as former Reps. Dennis W. Laferty, a pastor at Thompson United Methodist Church in Thompson Township, is accused of sexual battery against one or more minors. Laferty, 37, who lives in a home Trustees of Thompson Methodist Church own at 6724 Madison Road, is facing multiple felony counts.
Laferty was charged with five counts of third-degree felony sexual battery, and one count of third-degree felony gross sexual imposition involving a person less than 13 years of age.
Laferty, a former staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, joined TUMC in July 2018 after serving three years as pastor at The United Methodist Church in Nevada, Ohio. He is married and has three daughters, according to his Facebook page.

It is expected to rise 30% over the next 90 days, I also have a lead on a new IPO coming from the same friend in April.
