WEST POINT — Army West Point, ranked 13th in Division I, did its damage to Siena during the middle quarters in an 18-14 win in non-conference women’s lacrosse action at Michie Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Cadets (7-0) outscored the Saints 12-4 in the second and third quarters.

The teams were tied 4-4 after the first quarter, but Army West Point freshman and Queensbury graduate Brigid Duffy scored two of her game-high five goals to start the second to lead Army West Point on a three-goal run. It never relinquished the lead from there.

Siena (4-4) went on a 4-0 run in the fourth quarter to close the Cadets’ lead to 17-13, but that is as close as it got.

In addition to her five goals, Duffy added a game-high nine draw controls to help Army West Point earn a commanding 24-10 advantage in that statistic.

Rebecca Gilhooley had four goals and an assist to lead Siena in scoring. Jordan Bentley, another Queensbury graduate, had three goals and an assist, while Kelly Logue added three goals. Sabrina Krasner made 11 saves.
