
DELANSON – A Delanson home was severely damaged by fire mid-day Tuesday.
The home’s lone occupant escaped safely, officials said.
The fire was reported just before noon Tuesday at 180 W. Shore Road in Delanson.
The fire impacted the side of the building and the roof as flames burned through both areas. Firefighters fought the blaze from both inside and out of the home.
Tankers and manpower responded from Rotterdam Fire District 2, Duanesburg, Quaker Street, Schonowee, Central Bridge and Cobleskill to assist at the scene.
