
SCHENECTADY – A Schenectady man admitted this week to raping a child under the age of 13, Schenectady County District Attorney’s officials said Friday.
Keith Solana, 28, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of first-degree rape.
He is to be sentenced later to at least 15 years in prison and could get as much as 19 years, officials said.
Schenectady Youth Aid Bureau Detective Peter Verret investigated the case. The victim was interviewed at the Schenectady Child Advocacy Center, where the child disclosed the sexual assault, prosecutors said.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Maria Apruzzese. Solana is represented by attorney John Della Ratta. Judge Tatiana Coffinger is presiding.
