Albany Academy will face CHSAA champion Monsignor Farrell in the Class A Federation championship game on Sunday at noon at Guilderland. Monsignor Farrell defeated PSAL champion Transit Tech 55-47 in Saturday’s other Class A boys’ semifinal.

Albany Academy has captured four previous Federation titles, the most recent coming in 2019, the last year the event was held. Those championships were won under the guidance of head coach Brian Fruscio, who departed following the 2022 season to become the boys’ basketball head coach at Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut. Jim Driggs took over the program this season.
