Siena women’s lacrosse edges Mount St. Mary’s, wins fourth straight

LOUDONVILLE — Siena jumped out to a 5-1 halftime lead and held on to beat Mount St. Mary’s 8-6 in a MAAC women’s lacrosse game Saturday at Hickey Field.

Jordan Bentley scored four goals to lead the Saints (3-0 MAAC, 8-4 overall), who have won four straight. Mary Soures added two goals.

All of Bentley’s goals came in the first half. She opened the scoring at 3:23 of the first quarter. She scored twice in a 27-second span late in the first quarter, and then scored 40 seconds into the second quarter.
