WILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department in investigating a crash in the town of Wilton Thursday that resulted in the death of a Saratoga Springs woman.
Police responded at 8:18 p.m. Thursday to a report of a pedestrian being struck on Maple Avenue, according to a press release. Police said Mary L. Farrington, 79, was hit by a 2022 Toyota Prius driven by Daqing Zhang, 54, of Mechanicville.
Farrington was taken to Saratoga Hospital where she died from her injuries, police said. According to police, Farrington was crossing the road when she was hit.
Zhang remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
