SCHENECTADY – Pop and R&B group 98 Degrees is set to play Schenectady’s Rivers Casino & Resort in September, the venue announced Monday.
The group is set to play at Rivers’ Events Center Sept. 21, officials said.
98 Degrees’ upcoming tour marks 25 years since its early success. Consisting of the all-Ohio-raised Jeff Timmons, Justin Jeffre and brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, the band debuted in 1997 and released its breakthrough album, “98 Degrees and Rising,” the following year. It featured hits “The Hardest Thing,” and “I Do (Cherish You).”
The band continued to produce new music until the early 2000s. After a lengthy break, and years of pursuing separate solo careers, 98 Degrees reunited in 2013 and released the album “2.0” and later the Christmas album “Let It Snow.” The band has been touring ever since.
Beyond touring, singer Nick Lachey is also the co-host of the popular Netflix reality series “Love is Blind.” He hosts alongside his wife, Vanessa Lachey.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at RiversCasino.com/Schenectady
