CLIFTON PARK – A Ballston Spa driver was killed in a Wednesday night crash on the Northway in Clifton Park, New York State Police said.
Four other people in another car were taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Killed was Charlaine Danaher, 80, of Ballston Spa. She died at the scene.
The crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. Troopers responded to the two-car crash on Interstate 87 North in Clifton Park.
The preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle headed south traveled over the median and into the northbound lanes, before striking Danaher’s vehicle head-on, police said.
The four occupants of the southbound vehicle were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment, police said.
