HIGH SCHOOLS – Macey Koval scored the game-tying goal with 1:51 left in regulation and the game-winner with 19 seconds left in the first overtime period as Schuylerville pulled out an 11-10 win over Cohoes in the championship game of the Section 2 Class D girls’ lacrosse tournament on Wednesday at Schuylerville High School.

It’s the third straight championship for No. 2 seed Schuylerville, which led 7-2 at the half and watched as Cohoes pulled off a massive second-half rally to take the lead before Koval’s late heroics.

Down by five at the half, No. 1 Cohoes came all the way back to tie it at 8-8 on a Quincy Hytko goal with 7:34 left in regulation. Hytko added the go-ahead goal 10 seconds later, and Carli O’Hara gave Cohoes a 10-8 lead with 5:46 to go before Schuylerville rallied.
