TROY — Cito Culver homered twice and had four RBIs, leading the Tri-City ValleyCats to a 9-2 Frontier League victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles before a season-high crowd of 3,757 on Wednesday afternoon at Joseph L.Bruno Stadium.
Culver, who doubled twice in the ValleyCats 12-11 loss to the Aigles on Tuesday, hit a solo homer in the third inning to give the ValleyCats a 3-1 lead. He put the game away in the sixth when he belted a three-run homer to make it 9-1.
Juan Montes hit a two-run homer in the second for the ValleyCats. Montes also had a single.
Trey Hair added a double and single for the ValleyCats, who conclude their three-game series against the Aigles at 6:35 p.m. Thursday.
