Tri-City scores seven runs late to pick up Frontier League win

TROY — It wasn’t the cleanest game, with nine errors between the teams, but the Tri-City ValleyCats scored seven runs in the later innings to take a 10-6 win over Trois-Rivieres in Frontier League action at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Thursday.

Cito Culver led the ValleyCats (9-9) by going 3 for 5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Aaron Altherr was 2 for 4 with two RBis, while Carson McCusker went 2 for 3 with an RBI and three runs.

On the mound, Elijah Gill struck out six, walked one and allowed just two hits in six innings to pick up the win for Tri-City. Brac Warren fanned five in two innings.
