
SCHENECTADY – Students at Mont Pleasant Middle School in Schenectady were sent home early Friday due to a reported gas leak, Schenectady schools tweeted out around 12:30 p.m.
As of 12:37 p.m. all students were evacuated safely and waiting outside the building. School busses will bring students home as soon as possible.
“Attention. Mont Pleasant Middle School is dismissing all students early due to a reported gas leak,” the district tweeted at 12:37 p.m. “Students are safe outside of the building and school busses will begin bring students home ASAP.”
No cause of the leak has been reported
