
ELMIRA — Glens Falls junior Brayden Dock was the top Section 2 finisher at the NYSPHSAA Boys’ Golf Championships at Mark Twain Golf Course on Monday.
Dock shot his second consecutive 76 to finish at 152, eight over par, good for 10th place. Dock also was Section 2’s top finisher at last year’s state championships, finishing tied for 13th with a 149.
Union-Endicott’s Dante Bertoni and Victor’s Brody Burgess tied for medalist at 146, but Bertoni won the overall title with a birdie on the first playoff hole.
Saratoga Springs’ Kellen Dean was 13th with a 153, having shot a 77 Monday to go with his 76 Sunday. Teammate Carter Sica was the only other Section 2 golfer to shoot in the 70s Monday, firing a 77 to finish at 162, in 42nd.
Other Section 2 finishers were Saratoga Springs’ Charlie Greiner in 52nd (81-83–164), Niskayuna’s Vincent Liguori in 59th (85-82–167) and Connor Desjardins in 62nd (83-84–167), Hudson Falls’ Noah Tyler in 65th (84-84–168), Shenendehowa’s Eric Spoth in 69th (87-82–169) and Saratoga Springs’ Henry Parobeck in 87th (91-86–177).
