EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Jeffrey Baez had a home run, two triples and had five RBIs to power the Evansville Otters to an 8-4 Frontier League win over the Tri-City ValleyCats on Tuesday at Bosse Field.
Baex hit a two-run triple in the third inning to give the Otters a 3-2 lead. After the ValleyCats tied it at 3 in the top of the fifth on Zach Biermann’s RBI double, Baez hit a solo homer in the bottom of the fourth to regain the lead for the Otters. Kena Quiggle followed with a homer.
Baez completed his outstanding night in the seventh with another two-run triple.
Biermann led the ValleyCats with three hits and two RBIs.
The two teams play again Wednesday afternoon at 1:35 p.m.
