SCHENECTADY – The single Matt Rife show announced this week for Proctors Jan. 31 has now expanded to four shows over two days, the venue announced.
“Due to overwhelming demand, a 4th show added for 10 p.m. on February 1 for Matt Rife!” Proctors posted to Facebook mid-day Wednesday.
That announcement came after a Tuesday evening announcement of the third show and Tuesday afternoon announcement for the second.
Proctors had earlier Tuesday asked for patience due to a “large call volume.”
The four shows are set for 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Jan. 31 and the same times Feb. 1.
“Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally,” the Proctors show description reads. “As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.”
The expanded shows and demand have come even as the show remains in presale. General sales weren’t expected to open up until Friday.
