Schenectady Little League World Series team members honored at state Assembly

ALBANY — State Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, D-Rotterdamn, welcomed two local members of the 1954 Schenectady Little League World Series championship team to the New York

State Assembly Chamber on Wednesday.

Santabarbara presented Schenectady County residents Charles “Chuck” Caputo and Jack “Jackie” Scirocco with a New York State Assembly Proclamation in recognition of the accomplishments of the team.

Schenectady won the Little League World Series in 1954, one year after finishing as runners-up at the tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
