SARATOGA – Stewart’s Shops will celebrate 75 years of the Make Your Own Sundae by offering Make Your Own Sundaes for $1.75 this Sunday.
The $1.75 promotion this Sunday, June 11, saves ice cream lovers off the normal $4.29 cost of a Make Your Own Sundae for the 75th anniversary of the popular dish.
Stewart’s Shops has been offering its Make Your Own Sundae since 1948. When Philly Dake, the Executive Vice President of Stewart’s Shops and a key leader for 50 years, had the idea to let people make ice cream sundaes the way they want them.
“My Aunt Philly truly left her mark on Stewart’s Shops,” said President of Stewart’s Shops Gary Dake in a statement. “She believed that ice cream should be an experience and the Make Your Own Sundae is one of her many legacies.”
A Stewart’s Shops Make Your Own Sundae is made from an ice cream flavor of the customer’s choice from the cone counter. Customers then chose as many toppings as they would like, such as, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, caramel sauce, marshmallow topping, pineapple topping, chocolate or rainbow sprinkles, mini M&Ms, fun chips, nuts, whipped cream and cherries.
