Two local politicians receive military honor

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara and Senator Jim Tedisco were both granted the Seven Seals Award on Tuesday. Emil Baker, executive director of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and Army Sergeant Trawn Smith presented both awards.

Santabarbara is a U.S. Army Reserve veteran as well as a member of the New York State Assembly Veterans Affairs Committee.

Senator Tedisco is sponsoring the Veterans Internship Program bill in order to create a paid legislative intern program in the Senate and Assembly to provide work experience to veterans that have been honorably discharged.

The Seven Seals Award is a distinguished honor given to individuals who have helped  support the well-being of military members, veterans, and their families.
