Niskayuna field hockey goalie Amy Erickson tallies 30 saves in loss to Guilderland; Other scores

HIGH SCHOOLS – Guilderland cruised to a 7-0 lead on Monday against Niskayuna, however Amy Erickson blocked as many as she could in the Suburban Council contest. Erickson, Niskayuna’s freshman goalie, tallied 30 saves. Skyler Van Wormer led Guilderland with two goals, while Alice Cavillones, Alyssa Doyle, Elizabeth Schafer, Sadie Miller and Hallie Czajka each had one.

Shaker brought home a 4-0 win over Columbia. Annabel Kelsey had a goal and an assist for the Blue Bison, and Meghan Molloy, Annie Smith, and Kacie Pilla each scored a goal. Columbia goalie Kate Manning had nine saves.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake came away with a 5-0 victory over Shenendehowa. Addisyn Knapik had a hat trick with three goals, Lily Mastrella had a goal and assist, and Grace Kogut scored a goal. Allie O’Rourke contributed two assists, and Katie Lansley and Lillian Morse each had one. Shenendehowa goalie Devon Hanson compiled 13 saves.

Johnstown defeated Scotia-Glenville 8-1 in Foothills Council action. Molly Wilcox, Kurstin Wilson and Gabby Chase each scored a goal for Johnstown, while Cole Krempa had one goal and four assists. Josie Eaton added Johnstown’s final goal, which was assisted by Addison Fazzio.

Scotia-Glenville’s Maddy Malone scored for the Tartans, and goalie Esmay Guidry tallied 16 saves.
