HIGH SCHOOLS – MacLaren Richards had a goal and an assist to lead Niskayuna to a 3-0 shutout of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake in Suburban Council girls’ soccer action Tuesday. Maddy Ehrlich and Kyra Buhrmaster each added a goal. Anna Joyce made eight saves in victory, while Estella Mackey saved eight shots for the Spartans.
Bethlehem earned a 3-2 road victory over Colonie. Emily Choppy scored her first career varsity goal, and Lexi Harston and Casey Holstein added Bethlehem’s other goals.
Emma Potter scored the lone goal, as Columbia defeated Saratoga Springs 1-0. Goalie Anna Nassivera earned her fifth shutout of the season.
Shenendehowa scored two second-half goals in its 2-0 win over Averill Park. Rachel Chen and Anna Burdick scored, with Natalee Eggleston, Claudia Pflomm and Eva Pflomm adding assists.
In Colonial Council action, Sofia Bouplon and Jordyn Chrysler each scored twice in Voorheesville’s 5-2 win over Mohonasen. Aaliyah Hotaling had the other Blackbirds goal, and Lily Farrell had two assists. Erin Owens made seven saves.
Cohoes defeated Albany Academy 2-1, with Riley Heighes scoring both goals in the second half. Samantha Figueroa made 13 saves in victory. Kira Ostovar scored for Albany Academy. Liana Williams assisted. Alex Leonard made 10 saves.
Lansingburgh got an overtime goal from Alyssa Rodriguez, on a Vivian Bull assist, to edge Catholic Central 1-0. Ariana Dingley made five saves in the win, while Meg Finn saved 14 for Catholic Central.
Mechanicville improved to 3-0 overall with an 8-0 win over Cambridge. Marisa Krosky had two goals. Maddy Hopeck and Emma Andrews each had one goal and two assists in the win. Madison Daley had a goal and an assist, while, Bella Raucci, Evie Dowd and Anna Izzo also scored. Lexie Pederson made 10 saves for Cambridge, while Ava Grimmick saved one for Mechanicville.
In non-league action, Galway shut out Johnstown 4-0. Taylor Germain had a goal and two assists. Mae Budris had a goal and an assist. Abigail Gullett and Eva Anderson also scored. Olivia Davison-Guass had an assist. Eibhleann McElhinney and Germain each made two saves. Jordyn Tarbox made 22 saves for Johnstown.
