Ryan Farr’s two goals powered Saratoga Springs to a 3-0 Suburban Council boys’ soccer win over CBA on Saturday. Andre Culpepper-Wehr also scored for the Blue Streaks.
Alex Renner’s second-half goal gave Schuylerville a 1-0 Foothills Council victory over Scotia-Glenville.
Schuylerville edged Scotia-Glenville 1-0 in Foothills Council action. Alex Renner scored on a Trevor French assist.
Tim Motsiff had a goal and an assist in Glens Falls’ 2-0 non-league triumph over Mechanicville. Gavin Rittenhouse had the other goal.
The Mayfield boys’ soccer team defeated Lake George 2-1 in the final of the Mayfield Tournament. Brody Page put Mayfield ahead in the 18th minute on an assist from Masen Valachovic. Lake George tied it on Jack Sullivan’s penalty kick shortly before halftime. Brody Page converted a penalty kick in the 74th minute to give the Panthers the go-ahead goal. Sean Foreman made one save for Mayfield.
In the consolation, Greenwich topped Gloversville 4-2. Jordan Collar scored on a penalty kick for Gloversville, while Evan Renda added the other goal.
Making the all-tournament team from Gloversville were Rocco Insognia and Fernando Perez. For Mayfield, Andy Dunn, Valachovic, Page and Foreman made the team.
Coxsacie-Athens beat Broadalbin-Perth 2-1 in overtime. Alexander Rodgers scored for B-P.
Loudonville Christian defeated Saratoga Central Catholic 10-2. Ben Hoffman led the victors with three goals and two assists. Jacob Hajos scored both of the Saints’ goals.
Voorheesville shut out Berlin/New Lebanon 8-0 to improve to 3-0. It has not allowed a goal yet. Eli Kirgin scored five goals to lead the Blackbirds. Jake Johnson added one goal and six assists.
FRIDAY’S GAMES
Elhadji Dialllo, Enesio Capollari, Emmy Horja and Klaidi Gjini scored goals to lift Guilderland to a 4-1 non-league victory over Queensbury. Troy Jorgensen scored for the Spartans.
Neil Wicklund scored in the 50th minute to give Mayfield a 1-0 win over Gloversville in the first round of the Mayfield Tournament. Mayfield goalie Sean Foreman stopped two shots, while Gloversville goalie Conner Kohn had four saves.
Schoharie edged Northville 4-3 in a Western Athletic Conference game, thanks to two goals from Nolan Kenny. Max Kenny and Tom LaTourette also scored for Schoharie. Kevin Becotte scored twice for Northville, and James Pertell had the other goal. Schoharie goalie Nick Hyatt made 12 saves.
