Richard R. Heinze Jr., 35, has been indicted in Schenectady County on murder charges in the death of 30-year-old Mary Jeoney of Albany in late January.

Heinze, of Colonie, was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree identity theft and three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

City police have alleged that Heinze strangled Jeoney in the basement of 841 Stanley St. and then concealed her body there while Albany police opened a missing persons case for the single mother. Her decomposing body was found in early March.
