Albany police are seeking two men they say are responsible for a Tuesday night shooting on Catherine

City police are seeking two men they say are responsible for a Tuesday night shooting on Catherine Street.

Police said two men approached Oliver Forrest, 29, of 67 Catherine St., in front of 74 Catherine St. , demanded a bag of clothing he was carrying, then shot him in the chest. The men escaped with the clothing and $200 in cash, police said.

Forrest was taken to Albany Medical center, where he underwent surgery, police said, though his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police said they recovered a vehicle shortly after the incident in a lot near Judson Street and Livingston Avenue that was believed to have been involved in the shooting, but both suspects remain at large..
