The Daily Gazette cut eight full-time positions from its work force today.

The Daily Gazette cut eight full-time positions from its work force today.

Gazette General Manager Dan Beck said adverse business conditions led to the companywide layoffs. Financial reasons also led to a similar staff reduction this past June.

Employment at the newspaper, based in Schenectady, now stands at 151 full-time and 85 part-time workers.
