Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk clinched league championships, while Sar­atoga Catholic dealt Mayfield its first loss of the season to highlight Thursday’s girls’ volleyball card.

Natalie Ziskin served 24 aces as Burnt Hills (14-0, 17-3) swept Ballston Spa (10-4, 11-6) to wrap up the Suburban Council North Div­ision title. Christina Pelletier added 13 kills for the Spartans, who captured their 21st straight division banner with a 25-15, 25-12, 25-16

decision.

Casey Whitford had nine points and six kills, and Joanie Coonie had nine points and 17 assists to lift Shenendehowa (9-4, 13-4) over Saratoga Springs, 25-15, 25-9,

25-14, in another SC contest.

Kelsey Hanson had eight kills for the Lady Plainsmen, and Emily Wagner contributed seven points, three aces and 13 assists. Melissa Barney had three kills for Saratoga (4-9, 5-9).

Raleigh Morrow worked for nine kills and nine digs, and Ravena

(17-0, 19-0) secured its fifth straight Col­onial Council championship with a 25-18, 25-7, 25-13 triumph over Watervliet.

Karlie Haack had 10 kills and six blocks for the Indians, and Brittney Lintner assisted on 20 points. Brittney Johnson and Tierny Mc­Glynn led Watervliet with six points and six kills, respectively.

Amanda O’Brien had 10 kills,

Arielle Smith had six kills and 11 digs and Voorheesville (14-4,

13-4) rallied to beat Cobleskill-Richmondville, 25-16, 18-25, 13-25, 25-21, 25-15, in a match pitting Colonial Council second-place contenders.

Andrea Holyoak led the Bulldogs (14-3, 17-7) with 11 kills, and Lindsey Westervelt had eight kills.

Casey Brown and Claire Fischer both pounded down five kills,

Stacy Scheffer had eight assists and Schalmont (12-4, 14-5) registered a 25-11, 25-4, 25-23 victory over

Cohoes (6-11, 6-12).

Jen Diggins served for 13 points, and Gabriella Rizzo served for 10 while leading Saratoga Catholic with six kills in its 25-18, 25-17, 25-17 Western Athletic Conference upset of Mayfield (13-1, 16-1).

Kaelan Anderson and Jackie Lewis both had nine assists for the Saints (10-4, 12-5), Tricia Krasnicki served for seven points and Cate Mensler had six digs. Mayfield’s stat leaders were Megan Van Nostrand (five kills), Christi Showers (seven points, seven blocks) and Nikayla Towne-Relyea (12 digs).

Getting 17 points and seven assists from Kayla Twardzik, Fonda-Fultonville (8-6, 11-7) beat Fort Plain, 25-16, 12-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Tori Nichols had nine points for the Braves, and combined with Twardzik for seven aces. Kelsey Hagadorn had 13 points and Steph­anie Searles had nine for the Hilltoppers (6-8, 6-8), with Heather Voght totaling nine kills and

Sharissa Hogan eight.
