A woman volunteering for Meals on Wheels was injured today when she tried to stop her vehicle from rolling away as she made a delivery.

Town police Capt. Curtis Cox said the accident occurred as the woman made a delivery to the Brandywine Apartments off Route 155.

When she left her vehicle, it started to roll, and she was struck as she tried to get into the vehicle.

The unidentified woman suffered head injuries and was taken to Albany Medical Center.
