Power has been restored to nearly all customers who lost service when a major ice storm hit the Capital Region a week ago.
National Grid is reporting about 775 customers still without power, according to its Storm Central web page at www.nationalgridus.com/niagaramohawk/, including about 300 in Albany County and 270 in Rensselaer County.
National Grid officials expect to have service restored to all customers by about 6:15 p.m. today. Any National Grid customer without service is asked to call 800-867-5222.
New York State Electric & Gas says it has restored power to nearly all customers in its Mechanicville Division, which includes parts of Saratoga, Washington, Rensselaer and Columbia counties. Company officials report just a few small outages remain in Columbia County.
NYSEG customers who still don't have power are asked to call 800-572-1131.
