Jun­ior Kelvin Johnson hit a runner in the lane with 28 seconds left to give New Haven a 62-61 victory over The College of Saint Rose in a Northeast-10 Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night.

Junior Malcolm Williams of Schenectady scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Golden Knights (5-8, 3-5 NE-10). Senior center Evan Lane of Sharon Springs had two blocks to move into third place on the school’s all-time list with 99 career rejections.

ALBANY — Gloversville High School graduate Kevin Kucel pumped in 37 points as the Gen­erals outgunned the Royals.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — Lauren Hood hit two free throws in the final 28 seconds as the Chargers snapped the Golden Knights’ three-game winning streak with a victory in a Northeast-10 Conference game.

Senior Dana Brown tied her season high with 21 points for the Golden Knights (8-5, 3-5 NE-10). Hood finished with 23 points for the Chargers (8-5, 5-4 NE-10).
