Fort Plain’s defense limited Galway to only three points in the opening quarter and posted a 55-34 victory over the Eagles in a Western Athletic Conference boys’ basketball makeup game Monday night.

Chris Gattman (14), Tyler Barhydt (13) and John Resch (11) combined for 38 points for the 3-7, 5-10 Hilltoppers.

Todd Cowper fired in a game-high 18 points for the Eagles.

Raja Johnson connected for 25 points, and Corey Harris backed him up with 19 as Albany edged host LaSalle, 62-58 in overtime, in a Big 10 game.

Mason Horne tossed in 18 points, and Mike Murray tacked on 12 for LaSalle.

Alex Heffern poured in 18 points, and Brandon Fish chipped in with 16 as Heatly downed Berkshire, 66-45, in a Central Hudson Valley League game.

Bishop Maginn shut out Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in the first half and posted a 44-7 victory in a Big 10 girls’ game.

Mariah Stewart led the Golden Griffins with 10 points.

Geneva Furlano scored 13 points in New Lebanon’s 45-17 Central Hudson Valley League victory over Hawthorne.
