Shenendehowa clinches Suburban North title

Eleven players scored as Shenendehowa clinched the Suburban Council North Division with an 80-48 vic

Eleven players scored as Shenendehowa clinched the Suburban Council North Division with an 80-48 victory over Averill Park Friday night.

The Plainsmen jumped out to a 10-2 lead. After the Warriors climbed back to within two at 29-27, the Plainsmen pulled away again with a 25-5 third-quarter spurt.

Doug Milvaney scored 15 points, and Tony Hughes came off the bench to net 10 for the 12-1, 16-1 Plainsmen. Ryan Murphy grabbed 12 rebounds, and Dan Lee contributed seven assists.

Evan Royle scored 20 for 2-11, 3-14 Averill Park.

Saratoga outscored Bethlehem Central, 19-12, in the final quarter to beat the Eagles, 55-50.

Alex King and James Tucker topped the Blue Streaks (8-5, 11-6) with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Kevin Wendth paced the Eagles (5-8, 5-12) with 17 points.

Kyle Mafrici scored 13 points to help Colonie down Niskayuna, 47-42.

The Garnet Raiders improved to 9-4 and 11-6. Niskayuna, led by Kyle Bayly’s 13 points, dropped to 3-11 and 4-14.

Janique Lanier poured in 21 points to carry Shaker over visiting Guilderland, 57-45.

Chris Hooks and Scott Seiter scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the 8-6, 9-9 Blue Bison. Jon Terry scored 12 for 9-4, 11-6 Guilderland.

Jordan Macek’s 22 points powered Mohonasen over host Ballston Spa, 64-58.

Nick Battaglia scored 14 points, and Garrett Sisson added 10 for the 10-3, 12-5 Mighty Warriors. Cody Robinson scored 25 points, and Mark Seager tallied 14 for the 1-13, 3-14 Scotties.
