Michelle Aviza collected 25 points, and Nichole Adach got her 1,000th career point, as defeated Colonie, 63-50, tonight to clinch at least a tie for the Suburban Council South Division girls' basketball title at Mohonasen.

Colonie took a 13-10 lead after one quarter, but the Mighty Warriors, who have an 12-2 league record, went on a 12-2 run to turn the game around. Aviza had a pair of threes and a two-pointer during that spree, and had knocked down five treys to score 17 points in the first half.

Adach got her milestone point on a foul shot late in the third period, and she finished with nine points.

The Garnet Raiders were led by Shayla Madden, who had 23 points.
