Erica Beverly scored 14 points to lead four Hawks in double figures, propelling Hartford over the University at Albany,

83-51, in an America East Conference women’s basketball game Saturday at SEFCU Arena.

Hartford scored 51 points in the second half. The Hawks, who shot 53.4 perent from the floor, improved to 11-1 in the conference and 16-9 overall.

Ilicia Mathis and Lisa Etienne scored 11 points apiece, and Katie Kelley added 10 for Hartford, which was also 8-for-13 from beyond the arc.

Albany (1-11, 3-22) was paced by Britney McGey with 21 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Kim Clements added 10 points.

“This was a very good Hartford team,” said Albany head coach Trina Patterson. “They beat Duke, so we knew that they were good. If it was not for Britney McGee, who put on a show offensively in the second half, the final score could have been a lot worse.”
