A city teen faces high-level burglary and assault charges, accused of pistol-whipping a man for a gun and marijuana, causing him to lose five teeth, authorities said.
Leffon Adams Jr., 17, of 6 Yale St., was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and first-degree assault counts, all felonies.
Adams is accused of beating a 28-year-old man inside a Robinson Street residence May 11 at about 6:30 p.m., according to papers filed in court Wednesday. Papers indicate a second person also took part.
Adams also allegedly fired a gun on the front porch, narrowly missing the victim. He faces one count of first-degree reckless endangerment in connection with allegedly firing the gun.
Adams allegedly used his own black and silver handgun to pistol-whip the man, causing cuts to the man’s head and face, as well as the loss of five teeth.
The men then allegedly took an undisclosed amount of marijuana and a black .357 handgun, according to papers.
