A driver pulling up to a local bank overshot her parking spot this morning, hitting the building — the second time the bank has been hit since April, fire officials said.
The accident happened just after 10 a.m. when the four-door car hit the corner of the TrustCo Bank on Route 50.
The driver was pulling in when she hit the building, East Glenville Fire Chief Scott Pike said. She was taken to a hospital with what were described as minor injuries. The woman’s identity was not available, but Pike estimated she was about 60 years old.
The accident smashed in the front of the woman’s car. The building appeared to fare better. Only one pane of a double-pane window broke. The bank stayed open throughout.
The north side of the bank was hit April 17 when a driver in the nearby Price Chopper parking lot blacked out, causing significant damage to the exterior of the bank.
