Albany Airport travelers advised to arrive early

If you're flying out of Albany International Airport this summer, arrive early to check in, official

Passengers traveling through Albany International Airport this summer are being advised to arrive at the terminal at least 90 minutes before the scheduled flights.

The Fourth of July holiday weekend and summer vacation traffic is expected to increase the waiting lines at ticket counters and the Airport’s security checkpoint, said Doug Myers, director of public affairs for the Albany County Airport Authority.

Many travelers have become accustomed to shorter lines, which were the result of the nation’s economic slump. Passengers arriving less than 90 minutes before their scheduled flights may find they have not allowed sufficient time to park, check luggage, obtain boarding passes and pass through the security checkpoint, Myers said.
