Jery D’Amigo’s power-play goal in the first period helped Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute earn a 1-1 draw with Cornell in the ECAC Hockey regular-season finale for both teams Saturday night at Linah Rink.

Cornell (14-5-3, 17-8-4) took a 1-0 lead on Sean Collins’ goal at 7:07 of the opening period.

The Engineers then scored the only other goal at 14:51 on an assist from Chase Polacek.

The Engineers (10-9-3, 17-15-4) ended up in a tie for fifth place with St. Lawrence with 23 points.

Allen York made 28 stops for RPI. Ben Scrivens had 24 saves for the Big Red.

PORTLAND, Maine — Skidmore advanced to the ECAC East semi­finals after topping Southern Maine at USM Ice Arena.

After spotting Southern Maine a goal by Ryan Boucher in the opening period, Joe Melynk knotted the score for the Thoroughbreds. Southern Maine then recaptured the lead on a score by Zach Joy.

But the Thoroughbreds broke the game open with four goals in the second period by Tyler Doremus, Brendan Cottam, Alex Mykolenko and Julian Malakorn.

Sonja van der Bliek stopped 16 shots for RPI. Victoria Vigilanti made 23 saves for 19-9-8 Quinnipiac.
