Evan Nusbaum had a hand in six of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake’s eight second-half goals to lead the Spartans past Queensbury, 13-9, in a Section II Class B semifinal lacrosse game Friday.

Held without a point in the first half, Nusbaum scored five times and assisted on a goal in an 8-4 BH-BL run after the teams played to a 5-5 tie.

“In the first two quarters we had a lot of flurries. We had a lot of opportunities, but we missed some shots and hit several pipes,” said first-year Burnt Hills coach Tom Schwan. “After we settled down, we really started to click.”

Connor Nash made 13 saves, and Alex Lewek had two goals and three assists for BH-BL (No. 3 seed, 10-8), which avenged an early-season 8-7 loss to Foothills Council champion Queensbury (No. 2, 14-4), and advanced to its second title game in three years.

Liam Forcier led Queensbury, the 2009 Class B runner-up to Niskayuna, with four goals and three assists.

Burnt Hills will meet Niskayuna (No. 1, 14-4) Tuesday night at 7:30 at the University at Albany, following the Class C final at 5 pitting Glens Falls (No. 1, 10-6) and Greenwich (No. 2, 11-4). Niskayuna advanced with a 17-5 triumph over Albany Academy (No. 4, 14-4).

Glens Falls piled up seven goals in the opening quarter and nine more before the halftime break in a 20-1 semifinal win over Lansingburgh (No. 4, 6-10).

Ryan McFee scored four goals and set up three, and Adam Durrin and D.J. Fowler both had three goals and two assists as Greenwich eliminated Johnstown, 14-2. Jeff Roth scored both goals for the Sir Bills (No. 6, 4-14).
