Jeffery Thomas, Nick Schneider, Stefan Nonnonenmann and Mark Nesbitt scored consecutive goals as Alfred University topped SUNY-Cobleskil, 4-2, in a men’s soccer game Tuesdasy.

The Saxons, who got one save from Elliot Thorpe, improved to 5-9-3. The Fighting Tigers (4-11-1) were led by Souleymane Kone and Brandon Cooper with a goal apiece. Mack Curran made 10 saves.

HERKIMER — Senior Daniel Twumasi registered his sixth goal of the season and third game-winning goal as the Wildcats knocked off the Gators in double overtime in a non-conference match at Herkimer County Community College’s Wehrum Stadium.

Freshman goalie Malick Faye made one save and picked up his sixth shutout for the 11-5 Wildcats. Freshman Carmen Volpe (Christian Brothers Academy) had eight saves for 7-8-1 Sage.

SYRACUSE — Senior Angelo Reina and freshman Michael Spadine scored two goals each to lift the Dolphins over the Golden Knights in a Northeast-10 Conferene game at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex.

Brockport improved to 8-8. Katelyn Benjamin made 22 stops in goal for the 6-10-1 Fighting Tigers.

HEMPSTEAD — Marina Markovic had 16 kills to lead Hofstra to a 25-20, 25-13, 17-25, 25-20, non-league volleyball win over Siena. Taylor Akana led all players with 23 kills for the Saints.
