A Lincoln Avenue woman was robbed Monday evening while walking home about 5:30 p.m.

A Lincoln Avenue woman was robbed Monday evening while walking home about 5:30 p.m., police said.

Tamila Kryvych, 44, was walking from Hudson Avenue when two women approached her in front of 697 State St., said police spokesman James Miller. The two females began to hit Kryvych in the head and body with an unknown object and then took the victim’s purse and some money, Miller said in a news release.

The suspects then fled west on State Street toward Beverwyck Park on foot, according to Miller. The victim continued to walk home and called police. She suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

Police searched the neighborhood, but the women were not found, Miller said.
