Man's body found in building on Albany Street

City police are investigating the unattended death of a man found on the second floor of the former

City police are investigating the unattended death of a man found on the second floor of the former Andy’s Ski Shoppe on Albany Street.

Lt. Mark McCracken said investigators received a call about the body at 738 Albany St. around 11:30 a.m. today. He said the age, identity and cause of death were not immediately apparent.

“As is protocol, we’re treating it as a crime scene,” he said.

McCracken said the body was discovered by a third party, who then had someone contact police. An autopsy is scheduled, but McCracken was unsure whether results would be available today.

McCracken said Andy’s Ski Shop has been vacant for quite awhile. He said the man found inside didn’t appear as though he had been deceased for very long.
