Chichester, 23, a former SUNY-Geneseo runner, breezed to victory in 46:58, nearly two minutes ahead of second-place finisher Kieran O'Connor. Mark Andrews placed third. Defending champion Andy Allstadt did not compete.
Meanwhile, the women's race was much closer than the men's event. Jodie Robertson surged to the finish line just ahead of Albany native Ashley Gorr to capture first place. Both Robertson and Gorr have qualified for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.
Defending champion Amanda Lopiccolo did not enter.
A record number of runners -- close to 1,700 -- was expected for the race, which was run in breezy but sunny conditions.
