Two men suffered non-life threatening injuries after they were shot late Sunday during an attempted robbery.

Albany police said three suspects approached the two victims about 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Central Avenue and Quail Street and attempted to rob them with a handgun. One of the suspects fired several shots at the victims, striking a 45-year-old man in the stomach and a 26-year-old man in the ear before all three feld on foot, according to police.

The unidentified victims were both taken to Albany Medical Center, police said.

The suspects, who were only described as black males, did not get anything in the robbery attempt, according to police.
