One lane of the Rexford Bridge will be closed to traffic between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday for repairs.

The lane closure is needed to accommodate steel repairs to the bridge, which carries Route 146 over the Mohawk River in Schenectady County. Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

One lane will again be closed Saturday from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes, especially during the afternoon peak travel period.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
