The Plainsmen remained unbeaten in SC matches at 7-0.

Columbia stopped Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 49-21, and also improved to 7-0 in the SC.

Both Evan Wallace and Matt Greene remained undefeated for the Blue Devils.

Guilderland knocked off Shaker, 58-28, behind pins from Nicholas Haluska, Colton White, Joe Lamb, Mike McGill, Jesse Mesick and Zack Alloush.

Tristin Conova, Pete Downey and Chris Tangora pinned their opponents in Bethlehem’s 52-21 victory over Niskayuna.

Saratoga Springs won the final five weight matches and got pins from Nick Gibbons, Rich Cooper and Jim Helin in a 42-33 victory over Averill Park.

Schenectady squeezed past Albany, 37-36, in the Big 10.

In the Foothills Council, Scotia-Glenville recorded a 42-30 win over Johnstown by winning two of the final three weight classes with pins by Jon DiPace and Joe Graham.

Salem won the last four matches and came back to beat Hoosick Falls, 43-37, in a non-league match. The Generals remained unbeaten at 11-0.

Cadets win again

Sixth-ranked Albany Academy won its eighth game in a row, beating the Hoosac School, 6-5, in a New England Prep School League game.

Sean Dempsey scored twice for the 16-2 Cadets.

R.J. Diego scored a power-play goal at 7:33 of the third period to carry Bethlehem Central to a 3-2 victory over LaSalle in a Cap-ital District High School Hockey League game.

Nicholas Breiner and John Gosstola also scored for the Eagles. Brian Kiley and Anthony DeMarte scored for the Cadets.

Hilltoppers in tie

Marcus Failing scored eight fourth-quarter points as Fort Plain handed Canajoharie its first Western Athletic Conference Northern Division loss, 37-32, and created a first-place tie.

Failing finished with 14 points, and Harold Dettmer had 10 for the Hilltoppers (8-1, 10-3). Josh Gon-

zalez led the Cougars (8-1, 10-3) with eight points.

T.J. Smith amassed 44 points, and Schoharie (3-3, 7-5) rallied in the second half to upend Sharon Springs, 72-67, in the Southern Division headliner.

Alex Johnstone led Sharon Springs (3-2, 8-2) with 24 points, Brett Ullman fired in 19 and Dan Schilde netted 15. The teams combined for 21 three-point baskets, with Smith and Ullman dropping in five apiece.

Jonny Vicciarelli led four double-digit scorers with 15 points, and balanced St. Johnsville (3-4, 3-7) defeated Northville, 63-49. Kalob Russell paced the Falcons (1-7, 2-9) with 14 points.

Adam Fiacco clicked for 19 points, and Dustin Thomas added 10 to lift Duanesburg (1-4, 5-6) to its first WAC win, 45-38, over Middleburgh (1-5, 5-5).

Dylan Toscano nailed six threes and totaled 20 points, Ryan Hennessy added 13 and Mayfield (4-5, 7-6) set the tone with a big first quarter in a 61-30 win over Galway. Jamie Freebern and Cody Marshall scored 10 points apiece for Galway (2-7, 2-11).

Tyler Spence, Mat Yamin and Gabe Brown combined for 43 points to power Loudonville Christian to a 54-40 victory over Waterford-Halfmoon in a Central Hudson Valley League game.

Spence led LCS (5-3, 7-4) with 16 points. For the Fordians (7-1, 8-4), Jeff Carr and Brett Givney scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Berlin’s balanced scoring effort that included Austin Horton’s 15 points did in Heatly, 56-42.

Adam Noton and Devin Waite split 20 points as Hadley-Luzerne (5-5, 5-6) edged Corinth, 36-33, in the Adirondack League. Zac Lucia had 10 points for the Tomahawks (3-7, 3-8).

Larell Roberts delivered 26 points, Winston Lee worked for 22, and Hudson (6-5, 6-7) used a 15-0 overtime run to knock off Maple Hill, 68-53, in the Patroon Conference. Logan Samarija had 16 points, five rebounds and four steals for Maple Hill (3-7, 3-9).

Girls

Abby Spagnola and Erica Chase scored eight points apiece, and Galway (5-4, 7-6) used a 20-8 second-half run to deal Mayfield a 34-23 WAC setback. Nicole Little’s 13 points were best for Galway.

Katelyn Fane and Breanna Miller scored 12 points apiece as Schuylerville beat Hoosick Falls, 34-24, in the Wasaren League.

Tamarac also prevailed in the Wasaren League, overcoming Dani DeGregory’s 22-point effort in a 44-39 road victory.
