Woman pulled from burning home in Schoharie

Firefighters pulled a woman out of a burning home on state Route 7 in Schoharie this morning.

Firefighters pulled a woman out of a burning home on state Route 7 in Schoharie this morning.

A 911 call at about 8:43 a.m. drew roughly 50 firefighters to the scene at 3240 state Route 7, Central Bridge Fire Chief Scott Johnson said.

Firefighters found heavy smoke and initiated a search of the wood framed, two-story home and found the unidentified woman who was taken to Cobleskill Regional Hospital by Scho-Wright Ambulance, Johnson said.

The woman's condition was unknown, there were no firefighters injured.

Responders from the Central Bridge, Schoharie, Cobleskill, Middleburgh and Esperance fire companies were on the scene along with Cobleskill EMS and Scho-Wright Ambulance.

Johnson said the cause of the blaze was under investigation.
